SCM Microsystems settles lawsuits with Aston France S.A.S.

Ismaning, 22 January 2007 – SCM Microsystems GmbH, a group company of SCM Microsystems Inc. (“SCM Microsystems”) settled all reciprocal lawsuits pending between SCM Microsystems, Aston France S.A.S., and Aston's CEO Abdennacer Kabouya. Effective today all claims and appeals have been withdrawn by the parties.
Thus, in particular, the claim filed by Aston France S.A.S. in the initial amount of approx. EUR 58 million and the claim filed by SCM Microsystems in the amount of approx. EUR 11.5 million are settled.
